A clean, well-executed EFI Bonneville turned proper dirt-minded sled

There’s no shortage of “scrambler builds” floating around, but every now and then one lands that actually gets the brief right. This 2010 Triumph T100 Desert Sled is one of them.

Built on the much-preferred EFI platform, this Bonnie avoids the usual carb headaches and instead leans into a sorted, rideable setup—one that looks just as good parked as it does ripping down a dusty fire road. Built and offered by Scott Verrall (@moto.vez), this one reflects a clear vision carried through every detail.

The stance is what hits first. Proper tire choice, balanced ride height, and just enough aggression without losing the bike’s classic lines. From there, the details start stacking up.

The Build: Triumph T100 Desert Sled

This isn’t a parts-bin mashup. It’s a cohesive refresh with thoughtful touches throughout:

  • Custom twin side-exit stainless exhaust (clean routing, no burnt legs)
  • Hand-painted factory black/white tank with gold pinstripe
  • Custom bash guard, seat loop, and front fender setup
  • Moto Stitch seat with leather + gel inserts (actually rideable)
  • Ignition relocation and cleaned-up cockpit
  • BAAK No.1 bars with Biltwell Renegade grips
  • Bates-style yellow headlight
  • Ramair pod filter kit with airbox delete

Motone hardware shows up everywhere it should—regulator relocation, ignition bracket, headlight mounts, billet fuel cap, LED indicators, speedo relocation. It’s all subtle, but it tightens the bike up visually.

Mechanical

  • 865cc EFI parallel twin
  • 19,000 miles
  • Full service history
  • Fresh clutch plates, brake pads, and full service
  • New tires: Heidenau K67 (front) / Continental TKC80 (rear)
  • 12 months MOT (no advisories)

The Take

What makes this Triumph T100 Desert Sled work is restraint. Nothing feels forced. No gimmicks, no overdone finishes—just a clean, dialed sled that you could actually live with.

It’s the kind of build that doesn’t need explaining.
