We are big fans of Classified Moto around here and love the look of their latest build shown here. The CB450 was a commission for customer out of Brooklyn, NY who had some less than standard requests to be incorporated. Materials like wood and canvas made Ryland and crew have to think outside of the box for this one.
This bike follows suit on the new trend we’ve been watching here. It’s a mix of cafe racer along with a more off-roady/scrambler feel mixed in. The CB’s suspension was upgraded to with “Classified” front-end treatment from an ’05 Kawasaki ZX6R and progressive shocks in the rear.
They were able to find a creative use of the “wood” requested in the build by incorporating a skateboard deck as a seat pan and wrapped it in a military style waxed canvas to create the seat. By elevating the seat slightly, the custom painted deck becomes slightly more visible and allows for a thin seat that still mates up perfectly with the tank.
Check Pipeburn for more specifics on the build.
