We Are Racers: Supermoto vs. Superbike Video by Michelin

No matter what your favorite type of motorcycle racing is, if after watching the video below you don't have the urge to hop on the track, you may need to see a doctor! Michelin recently released a fun video putting two different worlds of motorcycle racing - Supermoto and Superbike - side by side and the results are awesome.

As Michelin puts it in their video description;

"Two worlds fueled by the same passion. The love of a challenge, of superlative performance and adrenaline." How about shredding tires and having a blast with a buddy? We're into that!!

The stars of the video are Kenny Noyes (2014 FIM CEV Superbike Champion) versus Sylvain Bidart (Team LUC1 Motosport). This is Episode 1 of a series entitled "We Are Racers" and even though the series isn't two-wheel exclusive, each video is well done and inspiring

We think they're right after all... we really are all racers in the end, one way or another!

Keep 'em coming guys. We're big fans!

Handbuilt Show 2015

The Handbuilt Show 2015 :: Austin, TX

In the USA, if you're in search of a killer custom motorcycle show, there's The One Moto Show in Portland, OR and there's The Handbuilt Show in Austin, TX. Both have established themselves as must-see events in the custom worlds and both did not disappoint this year. Timed perfectly with the MotoGP races at the nearby Circuit of the Americas, The Handbuilt Show was packed all weekend. Hosted by Revival Cycles, the show had a wide range of manufactures and styles on hand. From early boardtrackers to completely hand-built air-cooled superbikes, there was a little something for everyone.

It was clear that the level of customs has elevated from years past and it's great to see the growing support and appreciation for the custom scene by more of the mainstream. The builds at the show were all pretty amazing and it took a few laps, or even a few visits, to let it all sink in. Many of the bikes pictured below are by names you'd recognize, yet many are not.

Who can name all of the bikes and builders here?

Super Scrambler by Analog Motorcycles

With so much Scrambler attention going on worldwide right now, Analog Motorcycles gets their timing right with their custom ’75 square-case GT860 Ducati Scrambler. While there are plenty of modern options for someone in the market for a Scrambler currently, those who love vintage and custom will likely agree there’s certainly something special about a one-off pieced together with love and care. Start with an 80’s Ducati, grab an old Triumph Tiger front end, repaint this, re-coat that…now she’s starting to come together. A big part of the excitement and appreciation of a bike this this is the journey it took to come to be.

At first glance, we thought this stunning little number resembled our humble Bullitt CB (probably the header and pipe combo) but upon a deeper look it's clear that this thing is well above and beyond. No rock was left unturned on this build and it's clear that this thing wasn't built to be a trailer queen. Chris Hunter tells a great story of how this bike came to be and rather than try to recreate it, I encourage you to read the whole story here.
 Is it just us, or is this square-case insanely cool?
