Sexy CB750 custom from San Diego, CA

Seaweed & Gravel can mostly be summed up by calling them a surf and vintage motorcycle shop out of Leucadia, CA.  They recently popped up on our radar and we have to say we dig their style.  They’ve had a few builds get some notoriety previously, namely their CB550 ‘Little Bastard’ that got a cover on the Italian Cafe Racer magazine, but when we saw their ’73 CB750 ‘Babe Blue’ we had to have more…

The 1973 CB750 is a build between S&G and Brady Young that was a year in the making.  Clearly there is a lot of custom work and great attention to detail throughout the bike.  The inverted forks with wire wheels, and a stripped down frame keep the bike looking tidy.  Our feeling is the ‘Babe Blue’s piece de resistance is the seat and concealed oil tank.  Perfectly minimalist and well done.

Seaweed & Gravel describes themselves as ‘a retail extension of the collective conscious on non-confirming-never-grow-up-weirdos. New and vintage apparel, surfboards, customer & vintage motorcycles, boots, bonsai trees and more…’ Being from So Cal ourselves, we can relate.  The bonsai’s aren’t totally our thing but one can appreciate the simplicity and attention to detail for sure.

Here’s their video of S&G’s overall concept:
